The Bahamas' top prosecutor says a decision will be made soon on whether an inquest is needed into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son, who died under mysterious circumstances in Nassau.

The results of a police investigation into the death of Daniel Smith, 20, will be given to Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez by the end of the week, Director of Public Prosecutions Bernard Turner said.

Daniel Smith died at his mother's hospital bedside in Nassau on Sept. 10, three days after she gave birth to a daughter.


Anna Nicole Smith, 39, a former Playboy Playmate, has said she was seeking privacy when she came to the island chain in July.

A private pathologist concluded that Daniel Smith had died from a combination of methadone and two antidepressants. Official toxicology results have not been publicly released.

Matthew Fox, who plays the heroic Dr. Jack Shephard on ABC's castaway drama "Lost," has a dark side.

"I'm a liar and a cheat and a thief and the ultimate manipulator. … I tell lies every day, man," the actor, 40, says in the February issue of Men's Journal magazine. "And when I say I'm phenomenally manipulative, I am."

Fox, who is now starring opposite Matthew McConaughey in "We Are Marshall," says he "can be unapologetically vicious" and is "absolutely an instigator."

"I really enjoy social boozing, and what I enjoy about it is when people I know and care about say and do things they normally wouldn't say or do," he tells the magazine. "To make that happen I'll instigate anything."

Rosie O'Donnell has a powerful ally in her feud with Donald Trump: her close friend Madonna.

"People are giving Rosie a hard time," Madonna, who starred with O'Donnell in 1992's "A League of Their Own," said Thursday on NBC's "Today" show. "I wish they'd stop. I don't think it's fair."

The pop star, 48, said that she'd first heard about the flare-up between O'Donnell and Trump while vacationing "in the middle of the Indian Ocean" and had quickly e-mailed O'Donnell.

"I have to hear it from the horse's mouth," Madonna said. "Basically, I mean, she's a stand-up comic. I think all stand-up comics talk about provocative things in their monologues before shows, and I think that's a commonplace thing."

"I don't know exactly the content of what she said," she continued, "but I have a feeling that if every stand-up comic was penalized for saying politically incorrect things or provocative things, I think they'd all be hung in the public square."

It's a girl for former "Married With Children" TV mom Katey Sagal. The actress, 49, and her writer-producer husband, Kurt Sutter, 43, welcomed their first child together on Wednesday. Daughter Esme Louise Sutter was born via a surrogate in Los Angeles, said Cara Tripicchio, Sagal's publicist.

Sagal also has a 12-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son from a previous marriage.

Talk about a comeback. Last week it was reported that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had died from cancer, diabetes, heart problems and loss of vision. Tonight the Associated Press has announced that Anna Nicole Smith has married the Supreme Leader of Iran Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hossayni Khamenei at a lavish wedding in his home town of Mashhad, Iran at the magnificent Molla Heydar mosque. Anna was dressed in a stunning and very revealing red sequin gown with a 20 foot train. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei wore his traditional black robe, black turban and cane. Muqtada al-Sadr served as best man and security was provided by Muqtada’s Mahdi Army, which had little trouble keeping the paparazzi at bay. The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, “You can never be too careful given what happened to Princess Diana and the United States navy and air force steaming towards me in the Persian Gulf. My doctor says that I have more lives than a cat.”

The former Playboy Playmate is in a bitter custody battle with celebrity photographer Larry Birkhead, who claims he is the baby's father.

Smith was seen at a boxing match in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday night (06Jan07), where she posed for photographs with professional wrestler Hulk Hogan.

In a tribute to her two children, Smith unveiled a new image of her late son Daniel, which was tattooed on her left upper back, while new daughter Dannielynn's picture was tattooed on the right.

Smith was accompanied by lawyer and companion Howard K Stern, who she claims is the father of her baby.

Anna Nicole Smith Returns to the US

Anna Nicole Smith has returned with her baby daughter to the United States.

According to the website Femalefirst, Smith left the Bahamas where she had been living since the birth of her daughter in September.

The former model has been ordered to submit her daughter, Dannielynn, to a DNA test to determine the child's paternity. Photographer Larry Birkhead is claiming to be the child's father, although Smith insists that Dannielynn's father is her attorney, Howard K. Stern.

Last Saturday, the former Playboy model watched a boxing match in Hollywood and was photographed with former wrestler Hulk Hogan. Smith showed off her new tattoos, which are a tribute to her children. On one shoulder, she has an image of her late son Daniel, and baby Dannielynn is on the other. Smith, 39, was with her lawyer and partner, Howard K. Stern.

Jessica Simpson will be back in high-definition television just in time for the Super Bowl. Last year, the buxom blonde was teasing some kid in a Pizza Hut commercial along side Miss Piggy. This year, she is set for Pizza Hit again and a photo has emerged from the shoot and at least one person is drawing comparison with Jess and Anna Nicole Smith.

Is Jessica Simpson doing an imitation of Anna Nicole Smith for her new Pizza commercial? That's supposedly where this picture came from. At first glance, we thought this WAS Anna, but it would have to have been before the Trim-Spa REALLY kicked in. Not very flattering - we're curious to see what this ad is going to look like.

An earlier report from AOL Entertainment website TMZ.Com also poked a bit of fun at Jessica, writing "after cutting her botched song out of the Dolly Parton tribute, and pissing off Pimp Daddy Joe Simpson by turning down a paying New Year's Eve gig, Jessica Simpson got back to working her beat on Wednesday.
